Chai tea

Chai tea

Course: Drinks

Serves: 2

Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

1 tsp green tea leaves
1 x 4cm cinnamon stick, crumbled
5 green cardamom pods, lightly crushed
4 whole cloves
1/4 tsp ground ginger
500ml (2 cups) boiling water
Milk or soy milk, to serve

Method

1. Combine the tea leaves, cinnamon, cardamom, cloves and ginger in a warm teapot.
2. Pour in the boiling water, cover with a lid and set aside for 5 minutes to steep. Strain into serving cups. Serve immediately with milk or soy milk, if desired.
